2.30pm – 4pm Workshop

Would you want to work for you? @ Ali Waters @ Jovan Marić

Over the last few years, there’s been a power shift from employer to job seekers. Interviewees are now examining potential employers just as much as employers are assessing them. Candidates have choice and their decision to accept an offer is often based entirely on their experience during the recruitment process. If we want to grow our teams and surround ourselves with great people, we have to try new ways to attract talent and ensure each individual receives a positive candidate experience at each stage, whether they are offered a job or not. We can start engaging them before we’ve even posted a job advertisement by promoting ourselves as an employer of choice and by having a friendly and engaging recruitment process.

During this workshop we will discuss the following:

  • Are you on the radar of great candidates, or under it?
  • Does your website sell you as an employer? Would you want to work for you?
  • Do you have a warm, engaging and structured recruitment process?

Ali will be joined by Jovan Marić, who will be presenting a 30minute talk on how ‘Talent acquisition isn’t an HR problem, it’s a marketing problem’ In this talk Jovan will talk about talent acquisition (marketing to potential new recruits) as being a parallel marketing strategy to your business marketing (marketing to your potential clients).

Ali and Jovan both talk about acquiring talent but from different angles, so they are the perfect duo!

Find out more about both Ali Waters and Jovan Marić below.

A little bit about Ali:

Growing companies want to recruit brilliant people to help shape their future. We help to develop your brand as an employer of choice and your in house recruitment skills. This means training you to use a professional, robust recruitment process that accurately assesses all candidates thoroughly, fairly and consistently and helps you to make the right decisions about who you bring into your business.

We show you ways to get on the radar of potential great new recruits without the expense of agencies, and how to use an attractive, engaging range of interviews and job related tasks. Candidates will have a great experience with you whether or not they are offered the job, which will enhance your brand.

Try us out by booking a free recruitment clinic. We'll cast fresh eyes to your current recruitment process, if you have one, and suggest ways you could save time and money. Honesty is one of our core values, so if we think you’re already doing everything brilliantly, we’ll say so.

Kylah will also ask the question "When is it ok to be vulnerable with our staff and our teams?" and then workshop with participants.

The 'Pricing in a Crisis' workshop hosted by Mark Peacock – The Pricing Coach will last around 1 hour.

A little bit about Mark:

I help business leaders and sales team become more successful by using the power of pricing to maximise revenues and profits. Pricing is the most powerful lever you can pull to improve business performance, but it’s the one that’s least understood or used by business owners. And a small improvement in price can make a massive difference to your bottom line.

My clients have achieved significant results by following my unique pricing approach, which is logical and simple to understand, and ensures your prices are aligned to customer value making them easier to sell.

Most people think that "higher prices are harder to sell" but there is always a better way to design your pricing to achieve higher prices. Don't just take my word for it, have a look at some of my client's testimonials on my website , or contact me for a chat about your pricing.

A little bit about Phil:

Phil is a career salesman, Sales Director and CEO. He has worked for, owned and run SME’s, so he understands the mindset required, the pressures faced and the pride and sometimes defensive ways in which owner / managers view their business… it is, after all “their baby”. He understands that no two businesses are identical and recognises that out of the box, end-to-end coaching solutions may not be appropriate.

Now he uses those years of experience to help business owners build better businesses.

Brooke Curtis

Marketing Strategist & Founder of Green Mineral Marketing

3pm-4pm Online Workshop

Marketing: Your Point of Difference – Why do you need one? Have you got one? How do you find it? @Brooke Curtis

Is your marketing working?

As business owners, we know that marketing is most successful when we communicate the right message, to the right people, in the right place.

But do we always know what we should be saying in our marketing? What is that elusive RIGHT message?

Brooke Curtis, marketing strategist and founder of Green Mineral Marketing, will be running a webinar to help you identify the optimal message for your marketing.

During this webinar Brooke will:

  • Share a practical step-by-step guide to assist you in identifying your ‘Point of Difference’.
  • Reveal how to get under the skin of your brand, your customers & your competitors.
  • Help you unlock what to say in your marketing to grow your business.

You’ll take away a process that you can apply to your own business to make your marketing more effective.

A simple analogy is to compare your brand to a person. As a business person, we would think before we speak in order to have maximum impact. Marketing is no different. Thinking – or knowing what to say – before investing in marketing makes it significantly more impactful – and therefore significantly more effective.

A Little Bit About Brooke:

Brooke has nearly 20 years’ experience in marketing, initially working within some of the world’s biggest advertising agencies (Ogilvy, J. Walter Thompson) with some of the UK’s biggest brands (BT, Unilever, Kellogg’s).

Latterly, she was the Business Director for the Nestle Confectionery account at JWT, providing guardianship for famous brands including Kit Kat. She also co-ran her department, leading and inspiring 120 people.

For the last 4 years, Brooke has run Green Mineral Marketing, where she works with smaller businesses to help them be more strategic with their marketing, to enable them to invest with confidence it will pay back. Brooke loves getting under the skin of a brand, understanding its Point of Difference and communicating this successfully to grow her clients’ businesses.
